I’ve been a motivational sales speaker in Las Vegas for nearly 10 years. So, when Nancy Lauterbach, owner of Red Propeller Speakers Bureau, suggested I build a profile on eSpeakers, I took her advice to heart immediately! Nancy knows as much about the speaking industry as ANYONE!
The exercise of listing “everything” about my speaking career as a “Business Relationship Expert”, “Sales Speaker,” and “The Queen of the Business Lunch” on the eSpeaker website took me several days (since I was also busy doing my other work.) I needed to post my programs, bio, etc., plus re-edit a demo video so it would be free of contact information … a significant tool for bureaus.
The best part of the task was digging up testimonials for my speaking engagements across the country from meeting planners who had booked me to speak and were impressed with the outcome. Sure, I have a “one sheet” with a few choice raves (Interested? You can see some of these on this site under my speaker page.) But eSpeakers recommended I list about 15, so I ended up going through some letters I’ve received over the past few years. It was a joy to recall the various speaking engagements I’ve had. I remembered the audiences and the wonderful people I’ve met. It’s rewarding to know that as a motivational speaker, I can make a difference in how people view their business relationships. And I’m SURE I changed the way many of them will manage their CLIENT POWER LUNCHES, (plus Etiquette, and Networking, too)!

I am very excited to be presenting at this month’s Las Vegas NAWBO luncheon – June 26th – at Lawry’s. I will be doing a brand new program: ‘The Keys to Financial Freedom”. This program incorporates some of the key segments from my new movie, The Keeper of the Keys. Although the movie doesn’t focus on prosperity, per se, it offers a great deal of content to help people become happier with who they are, what they have, and how to enjoy a better life. I want to help NAWBO’s business owners to INCREASE their sales and generate greater prosperity to their businesses.
The definition of “financial freedom” is having enough money to do whatever you want and the free time to enjoy it. In other words, it doesn’t matter if you have five million dollars in the bank if you’re always too busy working to take advantage of it!

In The Keeper of the Keys, Jack Canfield shares, “When your VOCATION feels like a VACATION, you have arrived.” My friends might tell you I work A LOT! But, the truth is, I really ENJOY my work. I know exactly what Jack meant!
One of the most important segments from the movie is something I’m very excited to share with NAWBO members. That is the Key of Appreciation. This is also called The Law of Attraction. If you are frustrated with where your life is going, you can change direction by simply invoking the Law of Appreciation. Start by writing down everything for which you are grateful. Even the fact that you woke up this morning is something that should fill you with gratitude. If you have a job, friends, a home, your health – think of everything, big or small, for which you are grateful. The more you focus on what you DO have, the more you will receive. Like attracts like. The Universe will sense this higher vibration and will send more to you – more for which you can be grateful. It’s THAT easy! You have to FEEL the gratitude.
In my movie, Marci Shimoff shares an exercise for raising your love vibration. Put your hand over your heart and imagine that you are breathing in LOVE. Breathe normally a few times – in and out. Do this a few times each day and you will raise your vibration. When you are in this state, give thanks for all you have. Before long, you will have more than you ever dreamed of. Try it; You have NOTHING to lose!

“The Secret” Meets “Harry Potter” in My New Film

The one question I hear from people who are blown away by my new movie, The Keeper of the Keys, is “Where did the idea for this come from?” As a fan of personal development and self-improvement, I have tried (yes, TRIED) to watch all of the self-help movies that are currently available. About 20 minutes into each movie, I realize I just can’t watch anymore. They are boring; the endless stream of talking heads and trite sound bites quickly become tedious.
I thought, “WHY? Why can’t SOMEONE produce a movie that will help and empower viewers, yet will be so much fun and entertaining that even people who are NOT fans of personal development will be so engrossed watching the movie that they will learn something even if they weren’t trying to?!”
I decided I would produce such a movie. But, I’d never made a movie before. Still, my DESIRE to elevate an entire genre was powerful and I knew I would find a way. Channeling this passion is how I wrote The Art of the Business Lunch, sold it, and saw it published in 12 languages. This is how I published three anthologies, The Power of the Platform, and this is how I have accomplished every significant goal in my life. By connecting with our PASSION, we are able to move mountains.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned over the past few years had been the importance of working with a mentor … but that is a blog (or 10) unto itself! In this case, I went to the top of the mountain, and asked producer/director Stephen Simon to help me. He was amazing. He said this movie would have to CRITICALLY different if I was going to achieve my goal. It was Stephen who recommended that I make it funny – and I didn’t even have to think about it. I LOVED the idea!
The Keeper of the Keys was born. But, how could I make the movie funny without taking anything away from the experts? The answer was to have a dream sequence – like something out of A Christmas Carol – that would be the ticket. The idea for this came to me as I was emailing Stephen one day. Yes, it literally came to me. When the Universe wants you to accomplish your goals, it sends a lot of help along the way!
Then, I hired director Scott Cervine. He specialized in directing spiritual films and he also acts. I wanted him to play the main character in my movie. “Michael Walden” represents everyone who feels victimized by their circumstances. His transformation is deep, moving, and hilarious. He is resistant to all things and even argues with the experts to the delight of the viewers.
Next, I needed some star power. In the field of Self Improvement, that could only mean Jack Canfield. And, I love Marci Shimoff – who had contributed to my anthology series, so I invited her to be a part of this movie, too. Marci asked us if we’d like her friend John Gray on board, as well. We jumped at the chance to have John in the movie. The fact that I own the Las Vegas Convention Speakers Bureau and had built relationships with these stars made it easier for me to invite them to be in my movie. They were excited about the prospect. They had each appeared in The Secret, and were hoping that this movie might prove to be as successful.
Armed and ready to go, I recruited 15 top experts – a diverse group of authors and speakers from around the world.

I wanted the movie to be mysterious and magical, and Scott, as director and editor, was able to incorporate outstanding special effects. He found the ideal location for the dream sequence in the Parisian Palace in Las Vegas. It offered set after set and lent so much to the feel and power of the movie. The experts appear in frames and come to life as Michael, led by a mysterious spiritual guide, “Elizabeth” (played by yours truly), approach them. Not since Harry Potter has a movie been this mysterious, this magical, or this much fun. The experts share deeply personal stories – nothing anyone has ever heard before – and the stories have a tremendous impact on Michael. His enlightenment is inevitable.The movie has been compared to The Secret for its expertise and likened to Harry Potter for its special effects, though nobody flies around an arena and the transformations are internal – no one is turned into an animal! About “The Keeper of the Keys”
“The Keeper of the Keys” is the first funny personal development movie, sure to “take the ‘Hell’ out of self-help”! It’s entertaining, engaging, and powerful.
As producer of this groundbreaking personal development movie, my goal was to create a movie that was different from all the other films in this genre. In talking to my mentor Stephen Simon, a long-time Hollywood film producer and co-founder of Spiritual Cinema Circle, it became clear that in order to create a movie that was fresh and inspiring, it would have to be critically different. I wanted to make it funny; after all, you can’t empower anyone if they can’t sit through the movie long enough to take in any new information. And – it’s never been done before!
A Funny Self-help Movie? That’s Hilarious!
But how could I accomplish making a movie that would be really funny – yet share messages from some of the most respected leaders in the field of personal development?
The answer came to me as I was emailing Stephen one day. I had actually typed: “Every question you answer gives me ten more questions!” when the answer to this particular dilemma popped into my mind – literally! I could do a twist on “A Christmas Carol.” This way, I could have a fictional character who would fall asleep and during his wakening dream, encounter experts who would share their stories and messages with him. It would be engaging, interesting, and – most of all – funny.
What Enlightened People Have to Share
The character could argue with the experts, as many “unenlightened” people tend to do. This would give the experts the opportunity to state their case, share their experience, and offer advice to the character as to how he could improve his life. His life, of course, would need a LOT of improvement! I fleshed out this idea in that email to Stephen. “What do you think?” I asked. I was elated when he wrote back, “I think this could work; let’s think about it and talk next week.” And “The Keeper of the Keys” was born.
You are in for a treat. The experts who share in the movie came from as far away as the UK, and include JACK CANFIELD, JOHN GRAY, AND MARCI SHIMOFF. Their messages are outstanding. I wouldn’t have any “standard” rhetoric that most motivational speakers give from the platform. I encouraged the experts to share deeply personal stories – stories that had real messages that would empower the viewers. Boy, did they deliver!

Building Relationships Can Help You Achieve Your Dreams
I got to be "The Keeper of the Keys" - The KEYS symbolize the Universal Laws
As a Business Relationship Expert, I have been able to accomplish so much more than I ever dreamed possible. As I move toward the December 8th premiere of “The Keeper of the Keys” – a personal development movie I’m producing – I am amazed at the important role that my business relationships have played in the success and execution of this production.
I put myself in a position to help others. Once you are able to build a reputation for being a “go-to” person, your friends and colleagues will come to you for everything. You will end up getting connected with extremely important people. Keep in mind, however, that your intentions must be pure! The benefit of building great relationships by helping others should never be about ultimately helping yourself … but that IS what is going to happen.
If you aren’t where you want to be, or where you THOUGHT you might be by now, ask yourself: “What can I do for others? How can I help THEM to achieve THEIR goals?” I assure you, it won’t be long before people want to help you in return. Reciprocity makes the world go ’round.
My goal for this movie was to help as many people as possible by showing them how to accept greater responsibility for their lives so they could stop feeling victimized by society, the economy, or even the government. To keep them engaged long enough to enjoy this personal development film, I had to find a way to “take the ‘hell’ out of self-help”!

From the very first moment when I CONCEIVED the idea to produce a personal development movie, I wanted Jack Canfield as the STAR. Because I have worked with him before, included him in my anthology series, “The Power of the Platform”, and have worked hard to get him speaking engagements, he said he would love to be featured in my movie! He knows the caliber of work I produce and knows that I will feature him in a great light. As for Jack’s opinion when I told him that my movie is going to raise the bar on the entire self-help genre by being the first FUNNY, REAL-LIFE movie, he said, “Sounds like fun!” What a gracious man. I adore Jack. It’s true: the bigger they are, the kinder they are. Everyone who knows Jack loves him.

And, speaking of LOVE, my second choice for a star in the movie was Marci Shimoff, whose book “Love for No Reason” made it to the top of many best-seller lists earlier this year. Marci had contributed a chapter to my anthology series and helped me out. I wanted to help her by putting her in what I knew would be an amazing movie. She agreed.
Guess what Marci did for me then? She asked me if I would like her to invite her friend, John Gray, to be in the movie, too! John Gray – who has sold more than 50 Million copies of “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” - is now in my movie. Friends like to help friends. And, I am thrilled to share that he HIT IT OUTTA THE PARK! His explanation of why men and women have trouble understanding each other is pure gold! And now, he shares this wisdom in MY MOVIE! Think about all the dreams you have … and every lofty goal you’d like to accomplish in this lifetime. I can assure you that doing all you can to help others will come back to you WITH INTEREST. Jack Canfield says we should all learn the 3-letter word that can move mountains: “ASK”! I learned to ask, and I agree with Jack that asking can deliver tremendous results. But, when you remember to ask what YOU can do for OTHERS, that is when you’ll really see your business increase and your life will become more fulfilling than you ever imagined.

These experts are leaders in the field of personal development and it has been thrilling to get to work with them on the movie set. Production finally wrapped last week, and now it’s up to my Director/Editor, Scott Cervine, to work his movie magic.

So – what’s up with the movie? No offense to great authors everywhere, but books are “so yesterday!” Okay, I’m just being flip … let me revise that: “PAPER books are So Yesterday!” Digital readers have taken over the world; iPads, Kindles, Nooks, and various tablets are the RAGE today! And this trend is only going to get bigger. And, today, you can watch a MOVIE on your smart phone (or most of the above tablets.)
I Wanted to EMPOWER More People by Producing an Engaging, Funny Movie That Would Really Help Them to Understand the Universal Laws … or Keys
I became a non-fiction writer because I wanted to help people. It’s easy to see that I will be able to help even MORE people with an engaging, digital format – a MOVIE! Imagine – in just 70 – 75 minutes, you can reach an entire ROOM FULL OF PEOPLE – with a message of empowerment, wrapped up in a package that is entertaining, compelling, and even funny! That is EXACTLY what I am doing this year.

I had the idea to do this when I saw a friend’s movie. I said, “I would LOVE to make a movie, too!” And he said “You could…!” And then he told me how he did it. But, as with everything I do, I wanted to take the project to an even higher level. I asked two of my most popular coauthors, Jack Canfield & Marci Shimoff, if they would agree to appear in it. They said they would. Victory!
Then, I recruited about a dozen other experts from around the world who are amazing, though their names are not as well known as Jack’s or Marci’s. Then, right before filming her segment, Marci asked if we’d like to have John Gray in the movie. OF COURSE we would! And so far, everything has worked out beautifully!

I believed I could produce a movie … and I was even fairly certain I could appear in the movie. (After all, speaking to groups of 500 people takes a certain degree of show biz savoir-faire! 
) BUT, I was wise enough to know I needed to hire a director. I invited Scott Cervine, whose production company is Movies From the Heart, to direct. He has produced some truly outstanding personal development movies. Scott brought in an incredible crew, including cinematographer David A. Fisher. Now, with filming wrapped, Scott is busy editing the movie.
I am currently focused on putting together a smashing, over-the-top VIP RED CARPET PREMIERE, on December 8th, at the Brenden Theatres at the Palms Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This premiere is going to be the most incredible event of the year. After all, have you been having enough FUN this year? Seating is limited. A portion of the proceeds will be going to Volunteers in Medicine, Southern Nevada. More details to come soon.
