You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic to be really
something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for me. I’m looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it!
Hi, Coralleslie (or Leslie Coral!) The Blog Like a Pro! boot camp was a huge success. I had guest speaker Phil Robertson (www.PhilonBusiness.com) and he contributed a great deal of technical answers and support for those questions. I mostly addressed what can be accomplished and how to use blogs to promote yourself and build community with your followers.
It really IS easy – just think of writing a note to your friends. What would you say? What information do you have that might help them with THEIR business? That’s all a blog is – a WEB-LOG – or diary of sorts. THEN, once you have a message you want to share, you just type! You can get fancy and insert links – which will make it easy for readers to link over to a referenced site or find something you’re discussing – more easily than for them to have to look it up. And drop in a picture or two – and while it takes a bit of time to write a GREAT blog, it’s really not complex.
The advantage of having the Internet, too, is it’s like having a University at your desk. You can find tutorials. IN fact, why not go to http://www.YouTube.com and search “How to Blog”? I’m sure you will find countless videos that will walk you through it all, step-by-step, and before you know it, you will have a firm grasp on why you need to blog, what it can mean for you, and how to do it. Good luck! Robin
